Meet our Team

My name is Denise Cochran, and I am excited to join the Savannah Birth Center as a PRN (as needed) Midwife! I became a midwife in 2005 and have worked in both hospital and home birth settings during my career. Seeing the beauty and strength of birth is a humbling and awe-inspiring miracle that I am honored to witness! I currently teach full-time in a nursing program training future nurses, Midwives, and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioners. I love sharing my passion for midwifery with a future generation of healthcare providers. The opportunity to support families at the birth center as they welcome their newborns is a cherished gift, and I thank you for allowing me to journey with your family! Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, gardening, and traveling with my husband..
