The Birth Class Series has been revamped in 2024 due to requests from the “expectant community”. This class encompasses all aspects of the anatomy and physiology of birth, normal and natural coping skills, comfort measures, and what to expect.
Now offering Saturday Classes in which the entire series will be covered in one day, beginning at 9:00 am and closing around 4:30 pm. There will be a lunch break from 12 to 1 pm with lunch on your own.
Please register “early” but schedule your class, if possible, 1-2 months before your due date. This class is offered by The Midwife’s Mercantile and is taught by Jill Whitfield, CNM.
Fee: $50 per couple (Deposit is Non Refundable)
Classes will be held in-person at the Savannah Birth and Wellness Center (1692 Chatham Parkway, Savannah, GA 31405).
Breastfeeding Class
Led by Helen Pastures, IBCLC, a Board-Certified Lactation Consultant with Latch Breastfeeding Support, this Breastfeeding Class delves into the essential aspects of breastfeeding. The curriculum covers the benefits of breastfeeding, the anatomy and physiology of the breast, effective techniques, troubleshooting strategies, and practical advice to ensure a successful breastfeeding journey. We encourage both parents to attend this class. It serves as an informative introduction to breastfeeding, building on the instinctive behaviors that your baby possesses from birth.
All soon-to-be parents are welcome. Limited spaces are available. Payment for this class is required at the time of scheduling and is non-refundable, but the class session may be rescheduled.
Fee: $35 per couple.
